Game of Thrones guitars are a thing now

To capitalize on the hype around the final season of Game of Thrones, Fender is releasing three Game of Thrones “sigil collection” guitars, with dragons!

There’s the House Stark Telecaster, the House Lannister Jaguar and the House Targaryen Stratocaster, they look something you’d see on the show, if they played guitars.

The only problem?  They’ll set you back a whopping $25,000 – $35,000.  These are for Game of Thrones fans with way too much money, apparently.

Fender Custom Shop’s Master Builder used each house’s family sigil, costume designs, armour and weaponry as inspiration for the guitars.

Watch show creator Dan Weiss, composer Ramin Djawadi and guitarists Nuno Bettencourt, Scott Ian and Tom Morello play the GOT theme song on the guitars in the promotional video.

It’s certainly not the first time Fender has released special-edition dragon guitars, they did some Jimmy Page replicas earlier this year.

Not really familiar with Game of Thrones Neither am I, but there’s someone in my house who definitely IS – take a listen to the teasing that happens every week.
