Pink Shirt Day & the 'Boys Don't Cry' PSA that might make you cry

Today is Pink Shirt Day!  Pink Shirt Day started back in 2007. Two Nova Scotia teenagers encouraged fellow students to wear pink T-shirts in support of another teen who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. 12 years later and we all wear pink to let others know that bullying won’t be tolerated.

The theme this year is cyberbullying.

On a side note (but definitely related to the theme today), check out this public service announcement from the White Ribbon Campaign.

I came across this video today because my friend’s son is one of the actors in it. This PSA looks at the root of toxic masculinity. Please take a few minutes to watch it today and think about the words you use when you talk to young boys.
