Watch Kingston's 30 foot Christmas tree go up

This weekend’s Nighttime Santa Parade is the official kick-off to the Christmas season in Kingston, watch for our Big FM float all decked out thanks to our friends at Lowes!

The parade leaves Innovation Park (Bath Rd at Princess) at 5:00pm and travels down Princess to Ontario Street.  Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food bank donation and the kids’ letters to Santa!

After the parade Santa goes to Springer Market Square for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, and this year’s 30 foot blue spruce is already up.

The crane is pretty incredible to watch lifting this massive tree, crews used a chainsaw to trim the trunk.

Now it just needs some decorations!

Kingston Transit is free all day Saturday November 17th and Express Routes will run every 15 minutes from 3:00pm – 8:30pm.  Check the schedule HERE and enjoy the free ride, just don’t crank your Christmas music too loud 😉
