The Kingston Brain Tumour Community Group, in support of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, is thrilled to announce their partnership with the Kingston Grenadiers for a special event on Saturday, June 22nd, at Richardson Stadium. This event will honour the memory of Coach Dale Sands, who passed away from a brain tumour, and all those we’ve lost over the years, while celebrating the resilience and courage of brain tumour survivors in our community.
The event will kick off at 3:30 pm with a heartwarming highlight as Robbie Watson, SUPERKID and brain tumour survivor, takes to the field with the U18 Grens. Before the official game begins, Robbie will dash past the defence of the opposing team and score a touchdown, symbolizing the strength and determination of all those affected by brain tumours.
Attendees can look forward to a vibrant game day experience, complete with Brain Tumour information, music, games, snow cones, face painting, and balloons. These activities aim to raise awareness and provide valuable information about brain tumours, while also creating a fun and supportive atmosphere for families, survivors, and fans alike.
