McDonald’s Canada celebrates the 30th McHappy Day® on Wednesday, May 8th to help Ronald McDonald House Charities® across Canada make a difference for families with sick children.
How does McHappy Day make an impact on families in your community?
McHappy Day is a one-day fundraiser organized by McDonald’s Canada where a portion of proceeds from all food and beverage menu items go to RMHC and other local children’s charities. Participating in McHappy Day is not just deliciously easy; it allows you to feel good about making a difference in the lives of families with sick children, knowing your contribution is helping to bring smiles and happiness to those who need it most.
The funds raised on McHappy Day go directly towards providing essential support to families staying with RMHC across Canada including accommodations, food, mental health and wellness support, and so much more while their child is receiving medical treatment.
A staple in Canada’s communities, 1 in 4 Canadians has either been supported by RMHC or know someone who has.
Over the past 30 McHappy Day events, McHappy Day has helped RMHC support more than 468,000 families across Canada.
The 16 Ronald McDonald Houses and 18 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Canada take care of both emotional and physical needs of families when they travel for their sick child’s treatment.
Every purchase all day on Wednesday, May 8 supports families with sick children staying with RMHC, and other local children’s charities.
Whether it’s through purchasing their favourite food and beverage items in-restaurant, at the Drive-Thru, through the McDonald’s app or ordering McDelivery® via the McDonald’s app, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes and UberEats, it’s easy, delicious and convenient for people in Canada to support.
For the first time this year, guests will also have the option to support on McHappy Day by rounding up their order to the nearest dollar
