The CHESTMATES are sponsoring a car wash by donation at the above time and place. The CHESTMATES are raising money to support the purchase and maintenance of our boats and equipment and the other important programs and services of Breast Cancer Action Kingston (BCAK). Tax receipts for any donation over $20 will be available.
Come out and meet our team of 40 mates ranging in age between 38-82. We are just back from the Peterborough Festival last weekend where we won the MacKenzie Cup in the Breast Cancer Survivor division. We also were in the top 10 in the 40 in the all women’s races at that festival. Last year we competed at the 25th anniversary festival in Vancouver for breast cancer survivor dragon boat racing. This sport originated in Canada, and is now an international phenomenon with over 200 brest cancer teams around the world!
Come and take a look at our dragon boats, see our dragon heads and drum, and support our team and the amazing work of BCAK in our community!!!! All proceeds stay in KIngston to support programs and services for women and men with breast cancer.
