2023 U14 Franco-Ontarian Hockey Tournament

École secondaire catholique Marie-Rivier Hosts 23 Francophone Teams From Across the Province for a 3-Day Tournament

Tuesday April 11, KINGSTON – École secondaire catholique Marie-Rivier will host the 2023 U14 Franco-Ontarian Hockey Tournament at the Invista Centre in Kingston, from April 11th to the 13th.

This is the biggest sporting event of the year for Marie-Rivier school, as 23 teams, comprised of some 450 French-speaking students from Grades 7 and 8, from all across the Ottawa Valley and surrounding areas, will meet in The Limestone City to take part in this annual tradition and to celebrate their francophone heritage.

The tournament is split up into four divisions, one exclusively for girls and three mixed divisions in A, AA and AAA.

École secondaire catholique Marie-Rivier’s Dragons will compete against teams from across the province in the AA division.

The 17-student formation, the majority of whom are part of the École secondaire catholique Marie-Rivier Hockey Skills Academy, includes players from many local teams such as: the Church Athletic League, the Kingston Area Minor Hockey Association, the Loyalist Township Minor Hockey Association, the Napanee District Minor Hockey Association, and the AAA level for the Greater Kingston Hockey Association and Greater Kingston Girls Hockey Association.

Winners of the Cougar Cup in December 2022, we wish our Dragons good luck in defending this title once again at the 2023 Franco-Ontarian Hockey Tournament.
