One of only 2 youth arts festivals in all of Canada, The Juvenis Festival is a 9 day long celebration of young artists in a wide range of disciplines!
The Juvenis Festival generates opportunities for local young artists to showcase their work, as well as educational programming that will allow them to further develop their skills in the arts.
The Juvenis Festival has three main areas of focus: arts education, professional development, and youth-curated and created arts presentations.
Join us from Saturday, April 28 to Sunday,May 6 for a variety of performances, showcases, concerts, events and so much more!
We have free workshops for anyone between the ages of 13-30, and shows and events for all ages!

Saturday April 28 Opening Event: The official kick-off of the 2018 Juvenis Festival featuring a performance by SemiTone and special guest speakers Constellate Showcase : A concert showcasing female/non-binary role models and rising stars in the Kingston music scene.
Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29 The Hallway Plays: Two Canadian plays produced by Theatre Count and Blue Canoe Productions.
Monday April 30 Juvy’s Movies: The screening of the 48-hour film challenge and other Youth short films.
Tuesday May 1 The Poetry Show featuring Truth Is…: A Juvenis festival favourite returns presented by Kingston Poetry Collective We Are All Alive: A Fashion & Art Event featuring fashion, paintings and more.
Wednesday May 2- Sunday May 6 The Addams Family: The Kingston debut of the Broadway Musical featuring an all high school cast.
Thursday May 3- Sunday May 6 Spring Awakening: Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical produced by Blue Canoe Productions.
Thursday May 3- Saturday May 5 The Movement Market Series: A new dance platform in Kingston showcasing dance in an empty storefront.
Friday May 4 Battle of the Bands: Another Juvenis favorite returns! An evening of music with local youth bands, judged by the crowd and a panel of celebrity judges.
Saturday May 5 Arts-Based Career Expo: A Networking event for youth interested in a career in the arts.
Saturday May 5- Sunday May 6 Beyond the Page:A play series featuring two original works written by Kingston youth.
