The CRCA is offering parents/caregivers a chance to give kids a chance to have a P.A. Day filled with a variety of fun winter activities at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area.
From 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, there will be cross-country skiing on the trails and snowshoeing through the fields, forests and wetland areas (weather permitting.) Kids can be dropped off starting at 8:30 a.m. They are asked to bring their own lunch, snacks, drinks and warm clothes (including extras scarves, mitts and/or tuques). The program, designed for ages six to 11, will run regardless of the weather with alternate plans for other indoor and outdoor games and activities if there is not enough snow. It will be a day filled with immersion in the fresh winter air with lots of fun stories to tell afterwards.
Activities include building shelters, enjoying a fire and playing games. If there is sufficient snow, the kids will have a chance to go cross-country skiing on the trails or snowshoeing through the fields and forests of the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area.
The cost is $40 per child which includes equipment rentals.
