An imaginative and original new story is presented for the first time on a Kingston stage by emerging local playwright Warren Craig Godfrey. Travel back in time with Tesah as she relives some cherished, and some not so cherished, memories of her cottage days as a teen in the late 1960’s. We see Tesah and the boy next door, whom she calls her “guardian angel”, care for the baby turtles who become nature’s orphans and must find a way to survive with a clear path to follow. We discover parallel stories in Tesah’s own life with the devastation caused by issues of mental health, forced adoption, forgiveness and acceptance, and see how the timing of decisions and actions can lead or distract us from our own paths. At the same time, you will experience a heartwarming and at times comical story. With twelve original songs and a nostalgic look at traditional summer cottage life, there is something for everyone in this original new musical. Come out to the Bader Centre Theatre Studio, and support Tesah as she garners the strength to face her past, find acceptance, and finally return to her family cottage – “Turtle Crossings”.
